OUR STORY
Bevel Coffee started in 2022 as a hobby roasting project out of our garage and the
desire to share coffee with people. To make this happen, we built out a mobile
coffee bar and officially started our company. The allure toward roasting came from a desire to connect with the "green side" of coffee. As descendants of
Honduran immigrants, the opportunity to connect with producers from our
ancestral home was very exciting. Not all of our coffee comes from Honduras, but
a big portion of it does and we're always proud to showcase it.
After a year or so of pop-ups and farmers markets, we found ourselves with a
permanent residency on the patio of Prime Pizza Altadena, which lasted about 2 1/2 years and through the devastating eaten fires in January 2025. Fortunately,
our coffee cart was spared and through the support of our community in the
neighborhood we were able to reopen and continue serving Altadena all the way
through until we finally opened our first café in February 2026.
What began as a garage passion project evolved into something more powerful
than we imagined when we realized the strength of serving our neighborhood and
building relationships with everybody that we get to interact with, no matter how
small.
