About: Marilyn Alfaro

While on our first trip to visit Beneficio San Vicente in Honduras in 2024, we had asked Benjamin and Arturo Paz to help us track down a naturally processed Parainema as well as a female producer looking for a buyer. In an absolute stroke of luck, Benjamin looked up at us and said “actually, how about both?” By the afternoon, we had cupped Marilyn’s coffee and were on our way to her home to go introduce ourselves. As it so happens, it was also Marilyn’s first year producing coffee ever and we truly think she hit the nail on the head. This naturally processed Parainema was everything we were looking for: juicy, sweet, and big. Huge huge strawberry notes, but like chocolate covered strawberries. It really is such a joy to bring this coffee back again and continue working with Marilyn.
